Frankenstein the movie vs. the Mary Shelley version
Kenneth Branagh took peices of a classic novewl from mary Shelley and turned it into a fine vintage of hius own. Considering the time line in which Shelley wrote Frankenstein, her words and descriptions are fitting to that erea. When Branagh created his version, he updated some scenes to help the audience visualize the horror in which Shelley intended. Using Robert DeNiro as the crature was an unexpected twist for me. He just sis not seem like the type to play the part. What drew my attention more was how selfish Victor was. He was so quick to reanimate his bride, yet he refused his creation the opportunity at love himself. I think Branagh protrayal of making an Elizabeth monster, shows the insanity Victor suffered at the hands of his demonic actions.
